Trixie visits Mahora School

Trixie came to school today to share an array of her amazing stories.  Our friends from Nature Kids and Frederick Street Kindy came along to join in the fun.

BRINGING MATHS OUT INTO THE TEAM 1 GARDENS

We went out into our garden today to measure some of our vegetables and flowers.  Check us out busy with our rulers, which we thought were called measuring tapes.

Working together is important for our learning - sharing ideas, findings, predictions and knowledge.  Helping others learn with our individual skills and knowledge.

We work really well outdoors.

This was some of the measurements we found today.  We talked about the tallest, shortest, which could be medium.
We talked about 1cm - centimetre - what a funny word.
