Amelia is taking her gorgeous smile off to our Western Island tomorrow.  Team Tahi enjoyed a shared lunch with Amelia today to wish her well on her new adventures.

Busy Team 1 tamariki this afternoon at AKO time.  Great collaboration, sharing, taking turns, thinking, discussing, trying, failing, trying again. 

AKO TIME

AKO time presents many opportunities for our tamariki to learn through exploration of the world around them.  Teams Tahi, Rua, Toru and Wha provide a variety of activities which are purposefully designed to inspire our tamariki to learn through creativity.  ABC Mahora and Mahora Kindy recently joined us at AKO time and we look forward to further visits from our friends.

READING ACTION

We are using lots of brain power when Reading.  We look at beginning sounds,  blends, punctuation, word families and the Teddy Bear words we know.  When we have secured alphabet sounds, letter names and the Teddy Bear words - reading becomes so much easier.  We love exercising our brains.  Thanks to our whanau for reading at home with us and helping us to secure the love of reading.
