READ IT, BUILD IT, WRITE IT

Check the future newbies to Team Tahi  who can "read it", "build it" and "write it".  The Teddy Bear words that is!  

Cohen worked hard at writing the letter "e" and found it really easy when we used the Jolly Phonics formation - "line and a caterpillar c".  

Kini is enthusiastic and had lots of fun, reading, building and writing the Teddy Bear Words.

Naima likes coming to transition and sharing her knowledge.

ABC VISIT

Team Tahi had a fantastic visit from ABC Mahora today.  What awesome children who sat on the mat with us and learnt about the letter "c" and "a".  Team Tahi helped our friends learn the letter sound of both letters and how to form the letter on the whiteboards.  Then we made a crotchety crab .... with eyes and claws.  What a cool morning we had.  Thanks for coming ABC - we look forward to more visits.  

SUPER ART DECO AND VINTAGE CARS

Mahora School is very fortunate to have the vintage cars come and give each and every child a ride in the olden day cars.  We thought they were funny.  They did not have seat belts, one had no roof, one had a seat in the boot and one was still getting fixed up!  We are so lucky to have this opportunity to have a ride in a vintage car.  We got ready for our ride by making accessories to go with the era of Art Deco.  Check us out.  Oh, and our gorgeous transition children joined us for the fun.  

Stevie-Lee made a gorgeous headband to wear
 in the Vintage Cars.

Mikayla made a bow tie and a head band
with feathers for a ride in the vintage cars. 

 Jazmine and Jack were very busy and made headbands for the Vintage Car ride.

Thank goodness we had the Mum's and Dayna to help us design our accessories for the Vintage Car ride

Ali, Jazmine, Remz, Levi, Kalani, Thomas, Jaziah, Dylan and Amelia look spendid!

WELCOME TO JACK AND WEEK 3 TRANSITION LOVELIES

Welcome Jack to Team Tahi - you have shared your fantastic "give it a go" attitude today and we are thrilled you chose Team Tahi to be your first experience at School.

Transition was awesome last week when Amelia, Jack and Dylan came for a visit to Team Tahi on Thursday.  We cannot wait until you join our Team for lots of great learning experiences.  Check out our Bear's on the wall in the cloak-bay when you come in this week.
