SUPER ART DECO AND VINTAGE CARS
Mahora School is very fortunate to have the vintage cars come and give each and every child a ride in the olden day cars. We thought they were funny. They did not have seat belts, one had no roof, one had a seat in the boot and one was still getting fixed up! We are so lucky to have this opportunity to have a ride in a vintage car. We got ready for our ride by making accessories to go with the era of Art Deco. Check us out. Oh, and our gorgeous transition children joined us for the fun.
| Stevie-Lee made a gorgeous headband to wear in the Vintage Cars. |
Jazmine and Jack were very busy and made headbands for the Vintage Car ride.
Thank goodness we had the Mum's and Dayna to help us design our accessories for the Vintage Car ride
| Ali, Jazmine, Remz, Levi, Kalani, Thomas, Jaziah, Dylan and Amelia look spendid! |
What an awesome car - we sat in the boot!!!!

PHONICS TIME
Phonics is learning the sound letters make. Today we learnt the sound for the letter "c". Once we had mastered the sound and how to form the letter we went back in our brains to remember how some other letters we had learnt recently and made 2 words. Because...... did you know.... letters make words! Aha! They do! Our brains know that too! Check us out with "cat" and "sat" - ohhhhh, hey - that rhymes as well. Super stuff! Miss T had to try and get one good photo of us all ...............
TRANSITION TIME
Transition on Thursday took a new look - especially when...... Ma and Hora turned up in a colourful,
multi-shaped, balloon car! Ma was driving and Hora was a back-seat driver. We had enormous smiles on our faces and shared lots of information we could see. As you can see - we were mesmerized by Ma and Hora driving this exciting contraption. A big thanks to Shane who lives down the road from our Kura who generously made us a car for
Ma and Hora to drive in. We did some fantastic writing after discussing the attributes of the car.
After all that excitement we made some "Meanies". We read the "Meanie" big book and then we made our own. Come in and check our "Meanies" out! We had to pause for some milk to keep our energy levels up. Then we had an explore on the big playground. We love that playground.
